And, if we talk about its availability, it is available for both PC and mobile users. If you are a PC user you can use its website, and you can use the Coinbase app on your mobile.

Now, coming to our blog topic! If you want to know, how to recover lost assets, you can follow the read further.

Here’s how you can recover your lost assets

By following these steps, you can recover your lost assets and can transfer them to your self-custodial wallet.

  1. Open Coinbase in your web browser and perform the login.
  2. Now, you can visit the asset recovery page which you can access by opening the “Menu” > “recovering crypto” > “Continue”.
  3. Enter the Ethereum transaction hash ID and the cryptocurrency address you used to receive the unsupported item on the “Let's Find the Transaction box”.
  4. After this, click “Continue” to proceed.
  5. After locating the lost transaction, a “Continue” prompt will appear.
  6. Connect your preferred self-custodial wallet next.
    • You can use the Coinbase wallet to create a new self-custodial wallet if you don't already have one.
  7. Examine the transaction summary and any costs involved, and hit “Continue” to finalize the process.
  • Note that only certain ERC-20 assets qualify to get recovered. If you attempt to reclaim an ineligible asset, you will be informed during the aforementioned process that the asset is not eligible.

Final thought!

Using the guide presented above, you can recover your lost assets using the official website but this feature is not currently unavailable on the Coinbase app. There are a few things to keep in mind- In addition to disclaiming responsibility for any losses, Coinbase does not assess the validity, safety, or security of unsupported assets.
